A Certain God in Uncertain circumstances

We live in uncertain times. Every foundation on which the world systems have been built has been shaken to the core over these past 18 months. Confusion has gripped the minds of people all over the globe. It seems as if things seem to be deteriorating from bad to worse each day.

However, the reality for a Child of God should be markedly different from the circumstances they are surrounded by. Prophet Jeremiah declares in a similar vein. He had understood that even though the Israelites were under the chains of bondage. God was still able to deliver them. It was not even termed to be a difficult task for him

Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. Jeremiah 32:17

The truth is nothing is impossible for God. Luke wrote about such a situation in Chapter 8. It is understandable why the messengers asked Jairus to stop escorting Jesus back home.

The child had already passed away. Also, Jesus seemed to be busy healing other sick people on the way. Jairus could have quit his faith. He could have even harbored enmity in his heart on Jesus, as instead of rushing to heal his daughter - He seemed to be wasting time with this woman who had touched his clothes.

While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” he said. “Don’t bother the teacher anymore.” Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.” Luke 8:49,50

Jesus was quick to strengthen Jairus' faith. He reassured his belief in a divine miracle that day. We all know how the story ended. The house of mourning was turned into a home of celebration.

If we have been hoping and praying for divine intervention in our lives. The words of Jesus remain true in our lives as well. The promises of God will remain even in the darkest of nights and grimmest of circumstances.

If we remain steadfast in our faith, then we will surely see the resurrection, God has planned in our lives. So do not let the present climate deter you from persevering. The grace of God will sustain you till the very end and He can accomplish everything He has promised.
