Asking for rain
There is a certain urgency when we choose to remain in hope. Hope in itself seems to make us feel that time slows down as we remain waiting. However, the Bible asks us not to just remain hopeful in silence but ask God to fulfill his promises.
Ask the LORD for rain in the springtime; it is the LORD who sends the thunderstorms. Zechariah 10:1
At the start of the year, the Lord promised to send us both the Former and Latter rains this year. But we should not refrain from asking him for rain. The Bible prompts us to continuously remain in prayer, to be diligent in asking until the Lord brings to completion all that he has promised in our lives.
It is also important to position ourselves as we ask. Our attitude before God as we ask and wait prepares us to receive the harvest. The unnatural dark clouds that seem to surround our lives these days are just a mere indication of the heavy outpouring of the Holy Spirit that is bringing about the revival.
From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force. Matthew 11:12
Be spiritually aggressive. Pray more aggressively. Before nightfall, there is a great harvest, but only the persistent laborers will partake in it.
He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Luke 10:2
