Big Problems, Bigger Praises

Your problem isn’t big enough to Overshadow God!

When the question is P for the problem, the answer is P for Praise. When you see C for complaining, the solution is C for calling out to God.

Both praise and complaint are acknowledgments and can be expressions of what we feel about a situation as human beings. But choosing either of the two in a situation determines the outcome we desire to have.

Psalms 34:1 reminds us that praise has multiple benefits we can experience as believers. It will silence the enemy, strengthen you, is a powerful weapon, brings a smile in any situation, and builds hope in hopeless circumstances.

I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. My soul will boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together. I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

Satan is an opportunist looking to diminish the work of the Holy Spirit. This is what he tried to achieve by putting Paul and Silas in prison. He tried to work it out through a slave girl – a fortune teller.

Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. Acts 16:16

To Sing a song of praise or to continue to complain – These are the choices we have. Paul and Silas have the best testimony to encourage us to praise God in the unlikeliest of situations. When they were put in stock, they did not whine about it but chose to sing praises from the prison cell. The outcome of what we read in the Bible is what we learn to do today.

If you have a song at night, know that it is from the Lord. The Bible says so in Job 35:10 and Psalms 42:8

God will give you a song to sing praise to Him for deliverance. Be not dismayed for anything but put your trust in the Lord. Let no problem discourage you, just kneel and pray. Even when you aren’t honored or promoted despite deserving it; sing praise and say ‘thank you, Jesus’!

The best way to deal with your situation is to magnify God and not the problem. This shift in your attitude will change the overall situation into a solution because the Bible affirms.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

The core of your problem situation can become the center of praise. Just like Paul & Silas changed the prison into a church. This is possible when whining translates into singing and problems to praising.

Let your PRAISE be the gateway for God to step IN and for satan to get OUT!
