The God of love and compassion

Jesus cares.

Jesus loves.

He is the God of compassion who is longing to have an intimate relationship with you and me. His compassion comes from what He saw and experienced during His time when He took human form, walked among us, and understands every problem we face.

Now, because He knows what you and I go through, He wants to embrace you. Be rest assured that, when He embraces you, His love, compassion, kindness, and forgiveness just pour onto you.

The Bible assures us that He is the present help in the time of need. A man may promise something and fail to fulfill it, but our God is a promise-keeping God and will fulfill whatever He has promised. He never fails because all His promises are yes and Amen!

Jesus was moved with compassion when He saw the multitude of crowds because they were as sheep not having a shepherd. Mark 6:34

Jesus saw them with no shepherd/guardian and saw their emotional needs and brokenness through the eyes of compassion. He is the only one to understand every individual’s need. He knows and understands us inside out and is very much aware of what we are going through. It’s Him knowing your personal details like you know the back of your hand.

Just imagine; if a man asks you to walk one mile, you wouldn’t walk 2 miles with him. Would you?

One of the deeds of Compassion of Jesus we read is that; He took the ship and crossed the sea to deliver one person. Woooh! Now, that’s the compassion we are talking about.

- The desire to help when you see people in trouble

- To understand other people’s troubles/issues

- To be moved by someone else’s pain

When you feel no one sees you or knows what you are going through, the Bible affirms that He knows all your problems, and nothing is hidden from his sight. God is aware of your problems/issues and cares for you.

We read that in -

Proverbs 15:3 - the eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
Hebrews 4:13 - nothing is hidden from his sight.

Jesus looks at the deepest need of the people and not at the surface level. We need to follow the footsteps of Jesus and similarly have compassion for our friends, colleagues, and relatives and show the same compassion as Jesus through our deeds.

We have a life to live, a life to fulfill our desires, and add more to our lives because of His compassion and sheer grace. Hence, we ought to realize how to reciprocate His COMPASSION and unfailing LOVE!
