What is Faith?

Faith isn’t an adjective to describe life. It is indeed practiced in life. It isn’t external, but an internal act seen outside.

Faith sees the invisible

Faith believes the incredible

Faith receives the impossible “

The God we serve is a covenant and promise-keeping God who never fails to fulfill every single promise made. While He is eager to fulfill His promises, you need to act in faith in order to receive those promises by fighting against all odds until you receive them.

We learn from the life of Abraham – the father of faith. Against all natural odds and reality, he believed what God told him and walked in faith for it to come to pass. This is how Faith refuses to acknowledge the impossibility.

Romans 4:18- who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations according to that which was spoken, so shall thy seed be. 19 - and being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

Do not concentrate on the circumstances. The scripture above shows that Abraham placed his faith in God when there was absolutely no hope at all. Even with no visible signs, it is imperative that we trust in the promise keeper and never stop believing. We then start to see the changes because faith refuses to look at the reality of this world.

Similarly, in the New Testament, we see that Jesus walked over the waters to save the disciples amidst a storm. Likewise, when Jesus walks over your problems, your problems/storm will calm down under His feet. Bo not bothered about what is happening around you but turn not your eyes from God.

The spoken word of God will create things which your eyes have not seen, nor your ears have heard of, in this physical world. The devil might bring a lot of hurdles to stop you from inheriting your promises. However, it takes courage to trust God when all is not well. Your worship and praise shouldn’t stop when all is not well. It was Abraham’s unwavering trust in the power of God that made him proceed and achieve.

Genesis 18: 10 - Then the LORD said, “I will surely return to you at this time next year, and your wife Sarah will have a son!” Now Sarah was behind him, listening at the entrance to the tent.

Today, God promises to revisit you because He has not forgotten or given up on you. All you need to do to receive His promise is to put your faith in God and not doubt. All things are possible with the all-powerful sovereign God.

James 1:5 - but let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. If we doubt, we will not receive. Doubt is not from God.

This is FAITH!
